Staycation At 9 Pond Road, Orleans!

Our  fire pits are ready for toasting  your marshmallows – or cooking your steaks. The  floating dock is in the water. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is close by. Bring your bikes…if you don’t have a bike you can rent one close to the trail on Main Street.

You may use any of our three canoes, two kayaks or rowboat or bring your own. A public boat launch is less than 1/4 mile from our house.

Swim or fish from our floating dock. Bring your fishing poles as Crystal Lake is stocked  with fish by the State of Massachusetts. The fishing is always great!  Fish reported in Crystal Lake include: large-mouth bass, pumpkinseed, chain pickerel, banded killifish, brown bullhead, rainbow trout, golden shiner, small-mouth bass and American eel. The pond is annually stocked with brook, brown and rainbow trout.  A child’s play scape and sand box is conveniently located between the houses.

Built 2008-2010.  This 3 Level house boasts 3 full bedroom, 3 baths and 3 lounge areas.  The walk out level has large patio area and the main level’s deck spans the width of the house from the great room to the bedroom.  Three sliders and a patio door open to the deck.

Main Level:

• Cooks’ kitchen: granite counters, dishwasher, warming drawer,  Bosch convection microwave and conventional convection electric wall ovens,  5-burner cook top with professional range hood, under counter prep fridge & freezer, French door refrigerator with water in door.
• Great room: plentiful seating, wood-burning fireplace, 12-foot sliding doors out to deck and flat screen TV.
• Dining room with sliding doors and balcony door out to deck.
• Mahogany deck: natural gas grill w/side burner, two  tables and chairs,  Three Sunsetter awnings provide cool comfort the entire length of the deck even on the hottest days.
• Master bedroom can be configured as two twins beds or king, with extra twin – plentiful closet/wardrobes – 8ft slider to deck.
• Spacious bathroom: MAAX Stamina seated shower w/ multiple shower heads & full size stack-able washer & dryer.

Upper Level:

• Lounge area: 42” flat screen HDTV, media center,  coffee bar w/sink, coffee maker, refrigerator, and table for 2.
• Master bedroom three extra long twin beds or convert to king with an additional extra long twin  and plentiful hanging and drawer space
• Spacious bathroom with Maax Aerofeel bathtub and separate seated shower.

Lower Level:

• Lounge area with 46” flat screen HDTV, dartboard and sleeper sofa.
• Master bedroom: three extra long twin beds which can be configured as a king bed with  one extra long twin bed, plentiful closet/wardrobe.
• Spacious attached bathroom with full shower tub.
• Lower level has its own stone patio just outside the 6 ft French door. Outdoor shower adjacent to patio.

Outdoors:

• Outdoor shower and fire pit for toasting marshmallows or just toasting your vacation.
• Children’s play scape with swings/slide/covered fort and climbing wall, sandbox, and outdoor toy chest.
• Three canoes, 2 kayaks, and rowboat for drifting across Crystal Lake or a peaceful morning of fishing.

We have modernized this 1915 kit house house to ensure a comfortable stay for our guests. Our remodeled kitchen has plenty of cabinets and counter top space, dishwasher, microwave, side by side refrigerator with ice and water in the door, a gas stove and all kinds of kitchen gadgets including a hand crank coffee grinder. The bath has also been remodeled with a seated walk-in shower with adjustable shower head providing easy bathing for the whole family.

There are separate dining and living rooms and an enclosed three season front porch as well as three bedrooms – one Vera Wang queen bed in the room overlooking the lake and a bunk bed with twin on top and double for the bottom bunk in the front bedroom. The third bedroom gives you the option of either a king sized bed mattress or extra long twin beds – you choose. For inside entertainment there is HDTV with DVD in the living room, and a HDTV in the back bedroom, wireless internet connection and plenty of puzzles, games and fully stocked bookshelves with books for children as well as adults.

Rinse off the salt and sand at our outdoor shower with hot and cold water after a day at the beach.

Try the spacious enclosed front porch. It is a great place to put together puzzles or read the great summer novel.

Conveniently located on Pond Road, we are halfway between Nauset Beach on the Ocean and Skaket Beach on Cape Cod Bay. We are less than a 1/2 mile from the Firebirds Baseball Field and about a mile from the Cape Cod Rail Trail and less than a mile from the Academy of Performing Arts.

Enjoy – morning coffee or evening cocktails on our spacious 600 square foot deck with its great view of Crystal Lake. Weber gas grill and umbrella shaded table make it a wonderful place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We’ve also spread enough chairs around so it’s a great place to read or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Take the stress out of your vacation. All you need to bring is yourself, your clothes, food, personal care items, bathing suit, beach chairs & beach towels. We provide: sheets, towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, automatic dish detergent, hand soap, dish towels, starter set of toilet paper and paper towels. Don’t want to miss the Red Sox – well you don’t need to. Cable TV in the living room and back bedroom and wireless high speed internet throughout the property. You can sit on the deck and read your email.
